Of course, I also took some camera shots of Bovbjerg Klint, the location I shared yesterday.
These were taken on a different day, and the different light completely changed the scene.

The light breeze turned out to be perfect for paragliding. We watched them step off the cliffs and glide along the edges. A beautiful sight to watch.
Together with the old lighthouse and dramatic coastline, it made for a wonderful scene to photograph.

And if you look closely at the last photo, you’ll also spot a remote controlled aircraft flying above the cliffs. Quite a spectacle.
Different light, different conditions, different moments.

Natuurlijk heb ik ook met de camera foto's gemaakt van Bovbjerg Klint, de locatie die ik gisteren met de drone liet zien.
Deze foto's zijn op een andere dag gemaakt en met ander licht krijg je meteen een compleet andere sfeer.

Het lichte briesje bleek perfect te zijn voor paragliders. We zagen ze van de klif afstappen en langs de randen zweven. Een prachtig spektakel om naar te kijken.
Samen met de oude vuurtoren en de indrukwekkende kustlijn leverde het een mooi tafereel op.

En kijk vooral even goed naar de laatste foto. Daar zie je ook nog een op afstand bestuurbaar vliegtuigje boven de kliffen vliegen.
Ander licht, andere omstandigheden, andere momenten. Juist dat maakt het fotograferen zo mooi.

Back home after two wonderful weeks in Jutland, Denmark.
This was first and foremost a family holiday, so family time came before photography. But every now and then, I just couldn’t resist taking a few photos.

Because when you’re standing on top of a spectacular cliff and it’s almost completely windless, you simply have to send the drone up. And somehow, the true scale of a cliff like this always comes across so much better from the air.

The light wasn’t perfect, but that’s okay. Sometimes it’s not about perfect conditions or the perfect image. Sometimes it’s simply about capturing a moment as it really was.

And this holiday was extra special for another reason. For the first time, we went on holiday as grandparents. And our granddaughter, just four weeks old, came along with us.

So these two weeks were filled with kisses, cuddles, bottles, sleepy snuggles and little smiles.

And honestly, those moments were worth so much more than any perfect picture could ever be.

Family first. Always.

Ik ben net terug van een heerlijke familievakantie van twee weken in Denemarken - Jutland. Tijdens deze vakantie staat familie dus op nummer 1, maar zo af en toe heb ik toch wat foto's gemaakt. Want ja, als je dan bovenop zo'n klif staat en het is nagenoeg windstil dan wil je wel even die drone omhoog sturen. Want de grote van zo'n klif komt toch veel beter over vanuit de lucht. Dus geen ideale lichtomstandigheden, maar wel heerlijke realistische plaatjes.
Het mooiste van deze vakantie was dat we voor het eerst als opa en oma op vakantie gingen én dat onze kleindochter van nog maar 4 weken jong mee was!! Het was dus een vakantie vol kusjes, knuffels, flesjes, kroeltjes en lachjes. Allemaal veel belangrijker dan het perfecte plaatje.

OMG, how beautiful it was on Sunday morning. The camera stayed at home, but my phone did a pretty great job taking over.
There’s something so magical about watching the sun warm the cold mist and create pure magic.

OMG wat was het prachtig zondagochtend. De camera bleef thuis maar de telefoon nam de taak prima over.
Wat heerlijk als de zon de koude mist verwarmt en pure magie creëert.

Yesterday, @biekkiekt, @cynthiavanzwieten and I woke up in my car with a rooftop tent, parked in the garden of @mijndierenfotograaf in beautiful Drenthe.
It was one of those lovely cool nights followed by a warm day, often the perfect combination for ground fog. Add a few little clouds to the mix, and you’ve got yourself a fantastic morning!

We woke up at 5 a.m. because we had to pee and couldn’t get back to sleep, so around six we decided to get up and go check out the fog we could see from the rooftop tent.

It’s soooo wonderful waking up when you’re sleeping outside. ❤️ These are all iphone shots by the way.

Gisteren ontwaakten @biekkiekt @cynthiavanzwieten en ik in mijn auto plus daktent in de tuin van @mijndierenfotograaf in het mooie Drenthe. Het was zo’n lekkere koele nacht gevolgd door een warme dag en dat is vaak de perfecte combi voor grondmist. Combineer dat met wat wolkjes en een fantastische ochtend is geregeld! We werden wakker om 5 uur om te plassen en konden niet meer slapen, dus rond zessen besloten we eruit te gaan om de mist die we vanuit de daktent zagen te gaan bekijken. Het is zooooo heerlijk wakker worden als je buiten bent.
Een camera had ik niet mee dus dit zijn telefoonfoto’s.

And here's the last photo of this adorable little butterfly. With its wings spread open, it becomes even more delicate and charming, don't you think? The soft light shining gently through its wings makes it absolutely perfect. I have to admit, I'm a little bit in love with this tiny white butterfly, so beautiful, so pure, and so innocent.

En dan de laatste foto van dit schattige vlindertje. Met de vleugeltjes open worden ze nog lieflijker of niet... Het licht wat er zachtjes doorheen schijnt maakt het helemaal af. Ik ben gewoon een beetje verliefd op een klein wit vlindertje zo mooi en zo onschuldig.
